Job Overview: As an IATA Air Ticketing Agent, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of air travel arrangements for our clients. This includes booking flights, handling ticketing processes, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with our travel consultants and clients to ensure smooth and efficient travel plans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Flight Booking and Ticketing:
• Book domestic and international flights for clients using IATA-approved systems.
• Issue, reissue, and refund tickets as per airline and company policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance of tickets and travel documents.
2. Customer Service:
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist clients with itinerary changes, cancellations, and special requests.
• Offer expert advice on flight routes, fares, and travel options.
3. Coordination with Airlines:
• Liaise with airlines to confirm bookings, handle schedule changes, and manage special requests.
• Ensure compliance with airline policies, fare rules, and regulations.
4. Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and travel documents.
• Process payments and manage financial transactions related to ticketing.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on ticketing activities and sales.
• Meet the daily, weekly and monthly air tickets sales targets.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with travel consultants and other team members to coordinate client travel plans.
• Assist in creating comprehensive travel packages, including flights, accommodations, and safari activities.
• Train other staff accordingly to company policies.
• Attend corporate sales trainings on a regular basis to boost sales.
6. Travel Documentation:
• Ensure clients have the necessary travel documents, including visas and passports.
• Assist in issuing visas and passports if necessary.
• Provide information on health and safety requirements for international travel.
• Assist in issuing travel insurance.
7. Sales and Promotions:
• Promote special fares, packages, and offers to clients.
• Upsell additional services and products to enhance the client’s travel experience.

8. All other related duties and responsibilities once assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• IATA certification in air ticketing and reservation.
• Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in air ticketing and travel booking.
• Proficiency in using GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
• Strong knowledge of airline fare rules, ticketing procedures, and travel regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
